I work at the intersection of sustainable finance and artificial intelligence, exploring how technology can strengthen trust, transparency, and sustainability in the financial system.
After two decades in the financial sector , I joined Swiss Sustainable Finance, where I lead initiatives on education and AI. My work focuses on how data and intelligent systems can support investors and institutions in aligning financial decisions with real-world outcomes. Before that, my career spanned ten years in financial consulting and several years as managing director in a global bank in the fields of wealth management, asset management and sustainable investing/lending.
I am lucky to teach my passion in executive programs on AI and sustainability with academic partners including École Polytechnique (Paris) and the University of Zurich, helping practitioners translate complex ideas into practical tools and governance frameworks. And truly honored to regularly contribute to discussions on sustainable finance and emerging technologies as a conference speaker and moderator at events such as Building Bridges, AI for Good, the Crypto Valley Conference, the Sustainable Investor Summit…
Last but not least, I am passionate about philosophy, an interest that I was extremely fortunate to get passed on to me by my parents, in particular my mother, the philosopher Monique Castillo, who passed away in 2019 (monique-castillo.fr).
After years of work, I am very happy to have managed to publish, based on Monique Castillo's latest notes, "Spirit and Action" (La raison d’agir), a philosophical essay that explores the spiritual dimension of human motives. For "to give meaning to one's life", as we write in the first lines of the book,"is not only to give action a direction, a goal: prosperity, health, professional or family success, but a value that makes life a vocation, the accomplishment of something that is greater and stronger than oneself."
This personal blog is an opportunity to share a few articles and a few posts that reflect my personal thoughts and do not in any way commit the companies or organizations I work with.
Je travaille à l’intersection de la finance durable et de l’intelligence artificielle, en explorant comment la technologie peut renforcer la confiance, la transparence et la durabilité dans le système financier.
Après deux décennies passées dans le secteur financier, j’ai rejoint Swiss Sustainable Finance, où je pilote des initiatives autour de l’éducation et de l’intelligence artificielle. Mon travail porte sur la manière dont les données et les systèmes intelligents peuvent aider les investisseurs et les institutions à aligner leurs décisions financières sur des résultats tangibles dans le monde réel. Auparavant, j’ai travaillé pendant une dizaine d’années dans le conseil financier, puis occupé plusieurs années la fonction de managing director au sein d’une grande banque internationale, dans les domaines de la gestion de fortune, de la gestion d’actifs et de l’investissement / financement durable.
J’ai la chance d’enseigner ma passion dans des programmes exécutifs sur l’intelligence artificielle et la durabilité, en collaboration avec des partenaires académiques tels que l’École Polytechnique (Paris) et l’Université de Zurich, afin d’aider les professionnels à transformer des idées complexes en outils et cadres de gouvernance concrets. Et j’ai le vrai plaisir de contribuer régulièrement aux discussions sur la finance durable et les technologies émergentes en tant qu’intervenant et modérateur lors d’événements tels que Building Bridges, AI for Good, la Crypto Valley Conference ou le Sustainable Investor Summit.
Enfin, je suis passionné de philosophie — un intérêt que j’ai eu la chance de recevoir de mes parents, et en particulier de ma mère, la philosophe Monique Castillo, disparue en 2019 (monique-castillo.fr).
Ainsi, je suis très heureux d’avoir réussi à faire publier, sur la base des dernières notes de Monique Castillo et après des années d'un travail familial, La raison d’agir, un essai philosophique qui explore la part de l’esprit dans les motivations de l’agir humain. Car « donner un sens à sa vie, comme nous l’écrivons dans les premières lignes de l’ouvrage, n'est pas seulement donner à l’action une direction, un objectif: la prospérité, la santé, la réussite professionnelle ou familiale, mais une valeur qui fait de la vie une vocation, l’accomplissement de quelque chose qui est plus grand et plus fort que soi. »

Ich arbeite an der Schnittstelle von nachhaltiger Finanzwirtschaft und künstlicher Intelligenz und erforsche, wie Technologie Vertrauen, Transparenz und Nachhaltigkeit im Finanzsystem stärken kann.
Nach zwei Jahrzehnten in der Finanzbranche bin ich zu Swiss Sustainable Finance gewechselt, wo ich Initiativen in den Bereichen Bildung und KI leite. Mein Schwerpunkt liegt darauf, wie Daten und intelligente Systeme Investoren und Institutionen dabei unterstützen können, finanzielle Entscheidungen besser mit realwirtschaftlichen Ergebnissen in Einklang zu bringen. Zuvor war ich über zehn Jahre in der Finanzberatung tätig und mehrere Jahre als Managing Director bei einer globalen Bank in den Bereichen Vermögensverwaltung, Asset Management sowie nachhaltige Anlagen und Finanzierungen.
Ich habe das Privileg, meine Leidenschaft in Executive-Programmen zu KI und Nachhaltigkeit zu lehren – in Zusammenarbeit mit akademischen Partnern wie der École Polytechnique (Paris) und der Universität Zürich. Dort helfe ich Fachleuten, komplexe Konzepte in praktische Instrumente und Governance-Rahmen zu übersetzen. Außerdem freue ich mich, regelmäßig an Diskussionen über nachhaltige Finanzen und neue Technologien als Referent und Moderator teilzunehmen – etwa bei Building Bridges, AI for Good, der Crypto Valley Conference und dem Sustainable Investor Summit.
Darüber hinaus gilt meine große Leidenschaft der Philosophie – ein Interesse, das mir von meinen Eltern, insbesondere meiner Mutter, der Philosophin Monique Castillo († 2019, monique-castillo.fr), vermittelt wurde.
Nach mehreren Jahren der Arbeit konnte ich schließlich das Buch La raison d’agir veröffentlichen, das auf den letzten Notizen von Monique Castillo basiert – ein philosophischer Essay über die spirituelle Dimension menschlicher Beweggründe. Denn, wie wir in den ersten Zeilen des Buches schreiben: „Seinem Leben einen Sinn zu geben bedeutet nicht nur, dem Handeln eine Richtung oder ein Ziel zu geben – Wohlstand, Gesundheit, beruflichen oder familiären Erfolg –, sondern einen Wert, der das Leben zu einer Berufung macht, zur Verwirklichung von etwas, das größer und stärker ist als man selbst.“
